The brief
Earwyn Global equips hospitals and clinics across Mauritius with surgical lighting, patient monitoring, anaesthesia workstations and modular operating theatres. Its buyers are procurement teams searching for a specific device, not for a brand.
That made search visibility a requirement rather than a nice-to-have. A catalogue that loads its products in the browser after the page arrives is invisible to exactly the searches that matter, and the client said as much up front.
The catalogue also had to be his to run. Adding a product, publishing an event or uploading a spec sheet could not route through the agency every time.
The approach
- Rendered the pages that must rank, products and events, on the server and straight from the database rather than fetching them in the browser.
- Generated the sitemap from that same database, so a new product becomes discoverable the moment it is published.
- Built an admin on the same infrastructure for products, categories, events, media and spec sheets, with image and PDF uploads handled in place.
- Ran the whole thing on one edge stack, public site, admin and lead capture together, so adding ecommerce later is an extension rather than a rebuild.
Outcomes
- Product and event pages are server-rendered and indexable, not client-loaded.
- The client publishes products, events and documents without the agency.
- Enquiries arrive from the catalogue itself rather than a generic contact page.
